Ahhh…
I love great spices and sauces. I buy my spices from my local co-op, which has them in bulk. I buy in small quantities so I am always using the freshest I can get locally.
I use these little spice jars to store them in. They are quite nice and fit in a drawer nicely.
These little spice jars are perfectly sized and come with a ton of lables, a funnel, shaker top inserts, and more! The smaller size means you aren't filling up a large jar and then having your spices get old and funky.
The smaller size also makes it easy to put these spice jars in a drawer. They come with a shaker top that also can be used to pour.

SPICE MIXES
This Sambal Oelek (ground chili sauce or sambel) is an excellent high-quality, thick, Indonesian-style sauce or paste made of ground chilis. Sambal Oelek is made of chilies with no other flavoring such as garlic or spices but sometimes vinegar, lime juice or garlic are added. I use this paste to add heat without changing the general flavor of a dish. It is used in Indonesia, Malaysia, southern India, Vietnam and Thailand.
Sambal is the indonesian word for sauces made with chili peppers and oelek (alternately olek or ulek) refers to a morter and pestle.
